Professional Clients are considered to possess the experience, knowledge, and expertise to make their own investment decisions and properly assess the risks involved.

The information below is provided to explain the eligibility criteria, application process and regulatory implications of Professional Client categorisation.

Are you eligible to be classified as a Professional Client?

Eligible clients may request to be classified as Professional Clients in accordance with applicable regulation.

Professional Client categorisation results in a different regulatory treatment and level of investor protection, in accordance with the applicable regulatory framework.

Classification is subject to an assessment by the Company based on criteria set out in applicable laws and internal policies.

Application Process

To qualify as a Professional Client, you must meet at least two of the following criteria:

  • You have carried out transactions of significant size on the relevant market at an average frequency of 10 trades per quarter over the previous four quarters.
  • The value of your financial instruments portfolio, including cash deposits, exceeds €500,000.
  • You work or have worked in the financial sector for at least one year in a professional position requiring knowledge of leveraged products.

Meeting the above criteria does not automatically result in approval, as classification is subject to an assessment by the Company.

Clients may request Professional classification by submitting an application along with any required supporting documentation. Each application is assessed on an individual basis.

Important Note:

Professional Clients may lose certain protections available to Retail Clients, including negative balance protection, standardised risk warnings, and eligibility for compensation under the Investor Compensation Fund.
